This year has been interesting.

First, I got a new job, and moved to a new city and country. The whole adventure has been a massive learning experience for me, both professionally and personally: adulting is hard, but admittedly the whole journey has been fun so far, even if it sometimes feels like the universe is out to prank me.

I’ve also started to blog (semi-)regularly. I’m still working on getting a more regular cadence though, as I still miss some weeks. Nobody’s perfect, but there’s definitely some room for improvement. I also need to smooth out some of the rough edges of my workflow, such as putting in some form of automation so I can fill up a backlog of scheduled posts, thus possibly decoupling writing and posting. We’ll see.

Overall, this has been a great year personally, so I’m pretty happy with things so far – my happiness is tempered though by the realities of what’s happening in the world today. We have our own small victories, I guess.

I’m definitely looking forward to what the new year has to offer. Hopefully, I can continue posting here on my blog – maybe more ruminations about writing software? Perhaps more of my (mis)adventures as a Filipino in Australia? Who knows. It’s been a great year, and I rub my hands in anticipation of what comes next.

See you on the other side.
