Just finished layouting a small prayer booklet for my sister. I had to run Win98 to do that though— Wine just can’t run PageMaker reliably yet, and Scribus is too… err… doinky. So, after more than six months of pure Linux, I had to run Win98. Ick. Must scrub down…
Of course, I’m (half) kidding. Windows, in my opinion, is downright butt ugly. Still, I have to use it to run the more decent layout apps. There was some discussion on the Philippine Linux Users Group mailing list about page layouting options under Linux. Unfortunately, I think the application niche isn’t quite mature yet— then again, I may be wrong.
(Argh. I just realized that I’m too tired. I’m in fact so tired I’m struggling to context-switch out of Emacs keybindings.)
