(It annoys the hell out of me, the fact that I’m up this early in the morning. Mosquitoes have been feasting on me the whole night, and I’m itchy all over. Grr.)

Anyway, I’m finally back from Baguio. (Did anyone notice that I left in the first place?) Every year, our family hauls ass and goes off to spend the days between Christmas and New Year in Baguio. Yes, Baguio. In December. Not in some warm sunny region. Not in a beach. In cold Baguio.

So, we hied off to Baguio for a week. I bumped into several acquaintances and friends of mine there (which was pretty unsettling for me— I dislike bumping into people, especially on vacation). Having been there almost every single year of my life, Baguio has lost some of its charm.

However, not being a party animal nor a creature of the night (life), I had never experienced Baguio the same way I had recently. I tagged along with my cousin Carlo and his barkada several nights, as they made the rounds of the bars along and near Session Road.

So, Baguio this time around wasn’t all that bad.
