... But I'm a tech geek. So sue me. =)

ANYWAY. I (yet again) shot myself in the foot last Saturday by accidentally turning my Linux reiserfs partition into a swap partition. Yes folks, a swap partition. I was resizing my partitions in hopes of separating my /home folders. I was using GNU parted to do the dirty work, and I was close to a breakthrough— I had planned to split my swap partition into swap + /home partition.

Then I did the deed: Instead of 'mkfs 2 swap' I typed 'mkfs 1 swap'. Thereby wiping out my whole Linux partition. In one fell swoop.

Sigh.

So I reinstalled (what else is new?), and decided to go crazy and use XFS.

Yes ladies and gentlemen, the CyberLizard is quite insane.

Gah.

Oh, and I lost the 600++ Yahoo! mail messages that I downloaded. I hadn't saved my /home folders before the deed. So, I restored from the (still damaged) old tar backup I made. And spent Sunday morning recovering my files.

Double gah.

On the plus side: Opera rocks my socks. It runs faster now that I have 96MB of RAM to spare.
