Unlike the previous earthquake, which I felt, this one passed almost unnoticed. Had it not been for my mom texting me about it, I wouldn’t even have known that an earthquake hit. (For the record, I didn’t feel it because I was on my way home, on a shuttle van running ~60 kph on Macapagal.)

It feels weird that I feel separation anxiety— towards the laptop that’s been assigned to me.

Just got home from the hospital. My dad’s finally discharged, though he’s still undergoing a lot of medication. (It was a blood clot/hemmorhaging somewhere in the frontal portion of his head; the doc mentioned it was in the arachnoid IIRC; also the word ‘ischemia’ was mentioned, but I’m hazy about that. Either way, there was and still is bleeding in his head, so they’re giving him medication to relieve that.)

I’m still here at Las Piñas Doctor’s Hospital, keeping watch over my dad. The in-room phone has a socket for plugging the modem, which I did, hence the Internet connection. My dad’s fine now, more or less, though his blood pressure’s risen recently. They did some tests on him— blood sugar, urinalysis, CT scan, ultrasound. Results aren’t in, I’m told. I do know, however, that my dad has sinusitis, and I overheard the doctor tell my mom that there is a polyp growth (benign) in his sinus (IIRC, they did an ultrasound scan for that, can’t remember the exact details how.)
